Sr. Web Developer /
Programmer

The title for this exempt level position is Sr. Web
Developer / Programmer. This is a full-time, 40 hour per
week position. Regular work hours are 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Monday through Friday. Occasional late night and/or
weekend work may be required. The position is primarily
a Web Programmer / Developer position providing
consultative support services to Intersect Consulting,
Inc.’s highly demanding clients.

This position requires a minimum of 4-6 years of
experience in the Information Systems industry with
progressively increasing application programming
responsibilities. At least 3 of those years should be in
the development of application software in a web
environment with current practical experience using ASP
.Net, VB .Net, JSP, Java, applications against backend
SQL Server 2000 and/or Oracle 8i, 9i databases. A
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or comparable
degree is required. A Masters Degree in Computer Science
or comparable is preferred. MCSE certification or study
is a plus.

The successful candidate will, at a minimum, possess
demonstrated skills in the development of high
performance, web-based applications using such state of
the art application development tools as ASP .Net, VB
.Net, Cold Fusion 5.0 / MX, JSP, Java and Crystal
Reports against backend SQL Server databases. The
successful candidate will possess a working knowledge of
the Windows 2000/2003 Server operating system, its
facilities, services and components including the
ability to develop batch (command) files for automated
job execution. Knowledge of IIS 5.0 / 6.0 its
configuration and operation including experience with
host header configuration, application pools, worker
threads, component packages and other facilities is
highly desirable.
Demonstrated experience in writing complex SQL and
development of stored procedures in a SQL Server 2000 or
Oracle SQL and PL/SQL stored procedures is required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are
required. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple
projects organization and planning skills are essential.
Experience with MS Office tools including MS Word,
Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint is required. Experience
with MS Project and Visio are desired but not required.

This is primarily a programmer position. Nonetheless,
there will be customer-facing interaction. Duties will
include employing best practice coding techniques in the
development of client specified programs, providing
guidance and recommendations for code enhancements and
working cooperatively in a team environment. This
position may require on-site client support and
development of systems and may occasionally involve
local travel. This is primarily an in-house support
position, however.
